Kauai – Garden Isle
Things done:
• "Grand Canyon of the Pacific" - Waimea Canyon!
• Spouting Horn
• riverboat trip on the Wailua Boat Cruise
• Fern Grotto, rainforest ferns.
• Visit Opaekaa Falls and watch it cascade down into a hidden pool.
We went to Kauai for one day trip from Honolulu. In Honolulu started in the morning flight at 6:30 AM landed Lihue at 7:20AM. Rented a car started exploring Kauai-Garden Isle on our own.
First we went to Waimea Canyon – “Grand Canyon of the pacific”. It is good scenic spot. But we have missed Napali coast valley lookout as we were running out of time. We could not make it. We stopped on all lookouts for canyon views. When it is green, Waimea canyon may be more beautiful than in summer.
Another attraction Spouting Horn, This natural wonder occurs when water rushes under a lava shelf and bursts through a small opening at the surface, making an eerie hissing noise.
Afterwards, we headed back toward the Wailua River for our Wailua River Cruise. This is the only river boat trip in all of Hawaii! sacred river takes for about 40 minutes (one way) on a long, flat-bottom boat. Our tour then heads north to the famous Fern Grotto. While we cruise toward the Grotto, once we dock at Fern Grotto, make the short, paved walk from the dock to the grotto.
After the boat trip we had lunch at Indian restaurant, I forgot the name. It would be near to wailea river. Name starts with Shaivani something like this. There are two Indian restaurants in Kauai island, both are around the same place.
After that we headed to beach. We stayed there for couple of hours. It was very nice beach. On the beach no big waves one of the best spots for snorkeling. I recommend this place to all.
lastly we went to indian temple. it is built on excellent place. by the time went temple is closed. temple timing 8:AM to noon But temple will be open till 6PM.
