lake oreville

Day 1:
we ( Pavan & Srilatha, Sreekanth & Uma and Suresh Kanchana) planned a camp at Lake Oroville on May 31,2010(monday) long weekend. it was awesome camping.

we enjoyed a lot. we started from san jose on saturday morning by 10AM and reached there by 2 PM. On theway we stopped near RV's Park at Marysville, for lunch, thanks to Uma and Srilatha for awesome lemon rice and tomato rice.
After taking rest, started setting up tents. by the time everything is setup it was 6PM. then freshen up.
we camped for 2 nights and barbecued chicken, vegetables... it was lot of fun. Thanks Pavan for Margarita too. we cooked almost 3 hours. i have to add a point here. one Chinese family camped side to our campsite. they came to camp site after we started cooking. by the time we completed, they built tents, cooked, ate everything, had teas..almost about to sleep.

Day 2:
we got up by 7 to 8 AM in the morning. in an hour we completed brushing and taking bath. we
had Pancakes and bread& jam/ butter as breakfast. started to trail and hike to some falls.
Actually we have seen only fall but it is really good, as one can see the falls picture. the fall we went is little bit off road. we hiked around 0.8 miles off road. we spent around 2 hours near falls. there is a big stone under the big tree in front of falls. if you stand the stone, cool breeze comes touches you and goes. it is really refreshing from busy city life.

Day 3:
we sent to a place to do trail and hike suppose to be some falls, as there is no water so no falls. But trail is route is really good. Credit goes to Srikanth to finding out the so called falls. we trailed along a very very small creek, there are very beautiful yellow, dark pink, lite pink, blue color flowers along the creek. green grass is covered most of the part. some part of trail is little hike or pretty much climbing up a hill. it is not so difficult but some effort is needed
to climb.

enjoy.....
